Your league is not a group thread.
For people who run recreational sports leagues — curling, and plenty of others — with real seasons, real teams, and real playoffs. Players are Very Important People too.
Standalone. Pro is not required to conduct a league.
Your place in this picture
Club leagues, community draws, workplace teams, mixed social nights.
Example: curling — Multiple teams, a full season of draws, RSVPs, spares, and a playoff stretch — without the group thread. Same bones for other recreational leagues.
